I am running the CI-V link at 9600bps and here again is the chain of events during the contest this past weekend.
1. Spot comes in on packet. Double click on spot, radio changes freq and mode immediately.
2. DX4Win places the spot in the callsign window.
3. DX4Win cannot make up it's mind for a mode. Sometimes it picks RTTY but most of the time it picks SAT.
4. SAT is not checked in any of the parameters.
5. The mode and band are GRAY rather than BLACK.
Thanks, W3PT

I think you're talking about two different things. Charley's situation
seems to me inescapable as long as the radio is sending data to the logging
program. The cure is either to stay with the QSO till it's done -- why
would you do anything else -- or else log it early in the QSO and then
return via PAGE UP to edit it with additional QSO info.
Bob's issue with random wandering mode and band sounds more like RFI
affecting the data. Does it happen even when you don't transmit?
