[Dx4win] Windows XP and LPT Port 2

Here's a slighly different twist to something that has been reported here.....

Well, I just upgraded to a new PC and installed Windows XP fresh on this machine. I also installed a second LPT port (PCI card) and downloaded the latest drivers from their web site.

After that, I did a fresh install of DX4WIN 5.03 on the new machine. I registered my serial number, and then copied my dx4win.ini file, and the contents of my save directory from the "old" harddrive, to the new dx4win503 sub directory on the new XP machine.

XP Control Panel shows this LPT2 device working fine and installed as LPT2.

I have a Top Ten Band Decoder connected to LPT2, and a CW keyer also connected through the keyer port on the Top Ten device. On my installation, if I bring up the CW keyer window, I can key the CW no problem. But the Top Ten Band decoder (which is on the LPT2 port) does not change bands along with the radio.

Rig control is working fine, with Com1 talking to my Kenwood ts950sdx.

This all worked fine before with Window 2000.

So I am at a loss where to go.

I searched the archives and saw people reporting problems with CW keying and lpt2. Nothing about Top Ten Device and LPT2....

Since the reflector comments suggested reinstalling 5.03, I also tried that, but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
