[Dx4win] Searching another Database

I would like to be able to search a database in place of the Flying Horse 
database. The problem is the data base I want to search resides on my C: 
drive. Actually it is software that was written by someone that allows me 
to look up information about a callsign.

Is it possible to enter the callsign in the callsign field and hit F3 and 
bring up the software I want to query?

(I tried looking in the archives for something like this but I had zero 
luck with the search. In fact I even entered some subjects in the search 
field and it came back with nothing. I don't think search is working.)

Is it possible to bring up a .exe file, from within DX4Windows, and then 
type in the call I want to search this database for?
