Greetings all;
Well, for those of you who have the FT-920 you are in luck. There is a
switch on the back of the radio right next to the Key jack. It is listed
as PDL-KEY. Here is what I did based upon another member of this
reflector. First, connect the computer interface to the rear key jack.
Second switch the PDL-KEY switch to KEY. Finally connect my paddle to the
front key jack. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too.... It works!!
I can key the rig with the computer without having to switch off the
KEYER. I can use the paddle at the same time.
I'm a happy camper and now ready to fully utilize my system.

Hi,
You have to have an external keyer for this to work (the internal keyer
goes
nuts and really isn't that good anyway) and then just change the switch and
use the jack in the back of the radio. I have used my 920 that way for 2
years and no problems...It's a Yaesu thing unfortunately.
