[Dx4win] Spotting pattern confusion!

Hi DX4WINners,
I acquired DX4WIN a month ago and am really pleased with it. The step was
especially big for me as I logged on paper up till now:) I have gone through
manual and the reflector archives and I am still puzzled:
I use DXTELNET linked to DX4WIN. How to change the SPOT SENDING PATTERN? The
default is DX | c | f | q , but many clusters, like IRC CQDX accept only DX
| f | c | q . I can change it under PACKET2 but in vain as the ALT-A
generated spots are still DX CALL FREQ no matter what. I can only spot when
I manually type into PACKET WINDOW! What am I missing here? I am very amazed
as this issue was not touched even once in the archives...
Second question: If I have several clusters open in DXTELNET and linked to
DX4WIN via DXT4WIN, how can I limit the usage for transmitting spots to only
one? Is it needed at all to limit? Maybe it's OK to spot to all those
clusters as users are filtering themselves?! I am paying on data flow for my
internet so it has some importance.
Third question: I would be happy to spot to IRC CQDX but it generates @ sign
and multiple spots sometimes - is it a problem and can I somehow get rid of
this problem?
And what is the best cluster to use with DXTELNET, that:
-gives most spots (equivalent to IRC CQDX)
-allows free spotting and does not generate @ sign or multiple spots
-does not require passwords, etc to enter with DXTELNET
-is also freely usable during contests
-is fast and reliable
I am most obliged to anybody in advance for helping me to find my way
through this cluster puzzle:)
