[Dx4win] Help!! Can't open backup logfile...

After a harddisk crash, I've reinstalled DX4Win but when I attempt to read
my backup file from diskette I get the dreaded "a fatal error occured
reading the logfile" message when I try to open it.

Arrrggghhhh! I'm in panic mode since this file represents ten years of dxing
and
contesting efforts including the P5/4L4FN!!! 

I've used the Windows disk scan utility and the OnTrack Disk and file Fix
utilities but to no avail.  The data is in the file since I can read the
ascii parts with FileSnoop, a hex to ascii utility.  It appears the end of
file is corrupted which in turn results in the fatal error message.  

Can anyone point me to a DX4WIN utility that can recover this file data?  Or
is there another approach I should take?
