[DX] pileup question

I kind of thought the same thing, but then I remembered that there are
numerous times in a pileup where the DX station never identifies itself.
For many stations I’ve sat and listened for a LONG time and never heard any
ID. I end up going to DX Summit to find out who the station is.
This has concerned me for a while as it seems to be a common thing. It may
be that some stations figure that you’re looking at DX Summit and you’ll
figure it out on your own. This assume you have a broadband connection and
you keep your PC on all the time while operating.
Of course on the opposite side of the spectrum are those DX stations that
ID after each and every “TU” with an added “UP 2” thrown in for good
measure. Personally, I like it when they ID every minute or so. You know
who they are and they don’t waste valuable propagation time with the call
and UP 2 after every station worked.
