Hey Alan.
I use both an EW-SWL, an 80 mtr G5RV, a 325 ft longwire and a Kiwa Amplifed
loop. I like them all with my Drake R8 and SPR-4 rcvr combo. The EW-SWL is a
bit quieter but the G5RV has a bit more capture area that results in
stronger signals. Of course, orientation can't be changed which is where the
Kiwa comes into play. The longwire is set for TA reception when cx allow.
Both are excellent choices and if space is a constraint I would go with the
PAR and its low noise capability. Logged Stanton KY and their 25 watt signal
on 1470 kHz last night (200 miles from here). They are super antennas.

Subject: [DX] AM broadcast band DX antenna
I'm looking for a good outdoor AM broadcast antenna kit. What would you
recommend? I was thinking about a G5RV or an EF-SWL?
Something mostly for AM broadcast band DX'ing.
Any suggested suppliers?
Thanks,
Alan
