* PLEASE NOTE: The report "could" contain "Pirate/SLIM" operations or
more likely a "BUSTED CALLSIGN". As always, you never know - "Work
  First Worry Later" (WFWL).

3C, EQUATORIAL GUINEA. Elmo, EA5BYP, announces that a DXpedition to the
Republic of Equatorial Guinea (Bioko Island AF-010) will take place between
October 5-14th. Operators will be Fred/KH7Y, Luis/EA5BRE, Vic/EA5YN and
Elmo/EA5BYP. The team will operate with two stations and will sign 3C7Y for
10 days. Activity will be on all bands and modes SSB, CW and RTTY. QSL via
EA5BYP.

Kan/JA1BK, Mike/K6MYC, Doug/N6TQS and Nikolai/UT5UT will be guest operators
from stations in Montenegro and Serbia next month. They will first visit
the QTH of Gojko/YU6AO in Montenegro between September 17-21st, and operate
as 4O1AO and 4O1M. The group will then participate in the 2007 World HST
Championship (Belgrade, Serbia), September 21-23rd. Their trip will end
with a visit to Hrane's, YT1AD, station in Serbia and operate as YT5A until
the 26th. Look for activity to be on all HF bands including 6 and 2 meters
on CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK31, SSTV and EME.

5X, UGANDA. Nick, G3RWF, will be active as 5X1NH from November 21-30th.
Activity will start from Kampala between November 21-26th. He also plans
to be active in the CQ World Wide DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a
Single-Op/Low-Power entry. Outside of the contest, Nick will try to be
active on the low bands and the WARC bands, if conditions allow. Modes
will be CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK. Nick plans a short safari to the Mountains
of the Moon after the contest to Western Uganda and will do some "spare
time" portable work. QSL via G3RWF. Nick is happy to try some skeds;
E-mail address is: nick at henwood.demon.co.uk

authorized me to inform everyone that he plans to be active from Sana,
Yemen, once again as 7O/G4HCL from Monday, August 13th until early on
Wednesday, August 15th. Chris has written permission and official authority
to operate on all HF amateur bands under supervised conditions, but warns
that it may or may not be possible to obtain the specific documentation
that satisfies DXCC requirements. WFWL! This is NOT A DXpedition but a
business trip, and operation will therefore only be when possible and is
only likely to be for short periods at a time. Chris will be using 1kW to
a professional biconical monopole communications antenna. Activity will be
SSB only, and probably only on 20m (look between 14170 and 14260 kHz). QSL
information for this operation is direct only to G4HCL, PO Box 400, Eastleigh
SO53 4ZF, UK. If Chris is able to get on the air for extended periods, this
should certainly liven up the bands a little as a prelude to our 3B7C
operation! 73..."

27th and October 14th. He plans to be active in the CQ WW RTTY DX Contest

According to IARU Secretary David Sumner, K1ZZ, “While it probably will
take some time for the BiH administration to implement this change, it
should put to an end the use of call signs outside the ITU-allocated
call sign block by stations in parts of BiH.” The new prefix will be
implemented “probably later this year,” Sumner said.

  QSLS FOR 5X4A AND 5X4B. Tom, DL8AAM (5Z4GD, ex OP 5Z4FU/A, 5X/DL8AAM
etc.), informs OPDX that a great part of the original logs were lost
in the "civil war" in Northern Uganda. The QTH of 5X4A and 5X4B was in
Kitgum/Gulu, in Northern Uganda, near the Sudanese border. During the
time of their activity and to date, this region has suffered from a cruel
civil war between the central government and the LRA (Lord's Resistance
Army). Tom mentions that he has a great box of "unanswered QSLs". He
hopes that maybe later he will be able to return to the sites, and
possibly find and collect the "lost" logbooks.
