NIKOLA TESLA AWARD & PLAQUE

Radio amateur Association of Serbia, in cooperation with Nikola Tesla memorial Museum in Belgrade, YU, www.tesla-museum.org is issuing the Award and the Plaque to commemorate 150-th anniversary of  Nikola Tesla's  birth, the world genius (inventor) of Serbian descent.

The Award, and the Plaque are issued for two-way/heard amateur radio contacts with stations from Serbia and Montenegro during 2006. Extra points are awarded to stations who established/heard contacts with stations holding special callsigns issued during 2006 on the occasion of this event.

This award is available to all amateur radio operators and SWL.
The valid modes for Nikola Tesla award are: CW, SSB, all digital modes.
Contacts established by repeaters (networked or standalone), do not apply for this award.

BANDS:
   HF  1.8MHz - 28MHz
   VHF  50MHZ - 24GHz

SCORING:

Following calls counts 8 points per CW QSO and 4 points for all other modes:

Following calls counts 4 points per CW QSO and 2 points for all other modes:

QSO WITH SPECIAL CALLS "150" OR TESLA SUFIX

All other YU calls counts 2 points per CW QSO and 1 points for all other
modes:
YU1AA, YT7AB, YT6OX etc.

EME QSO count 20 points.

You are allowed to work same call on different band / mode.

Example: YZ150T ON 80, 40, 160  CW, SSB, PSK31, RTTY.

Minimum number of points required to win "NIKOLA TESLA" Award:
  HF
  EU STATIONS: 200 PTS
  DX STATIONS: 100 PTS

  VHF
  EU STATIONS: 50 PTS
  DX STATIONS: 20 PTS

Minimum number of points required to win "NIKOLA TESLA" Plaque:
  HF
  EU STATIONS: 500 PTS
  DX STATIONS: 250 PTS
  
  VHF
  EU STATIONS: 200 PTS
  DX STATIONS: 100 PTS

QSL cards are not requierd, only log data:
CALL, DATE, GMT, BAND, MODE, RST SENT/RCVD

Award fee:
3 IRC or  US $4 (Please new IRC only)

Plaque fee:
15 IRC OR  US$ 20

NOTE:
Participation in YU DX contest, (15/16 April 2006) www.yudx.net), KT KUP SRSCG (16 September 2006), offers excellent opportunity to collect number of points for this Award or Plaque. 

VHF stations can achieve the same participaring in number of VHF contests like UKT KUP SRS (first weekend in May), TESLA MEMORIAL (first weekend in July), IARU REGION 1 contest (first weekend in Septemebr), EME contests etc.
