Robben Island (IOTA AF-064, ARLHS SAF 023) will be activated from
approximately 1400 UTC on Friday 4 April until 0600 UTC on Monday 7 April
with the callsign ZS1RBN. The team of six operators hopes to have two
stations operating around the clock, one on CW and one on SSB.
According to the Space Environment Center forecast issued on 26 March, the
Solar Flux Index for this period will be 140-145, which is considerably
better than it has been for the past few weeks. Using the higher value,
PropView predicts the following openings to various areas of the world. (All
times UTC, LP designates Long Path openings.)
QSL information and preferred operating frequencies for each band are given
at the end of this email.
