If you are East Coast/Mid-West and running low power/wire antennas,
Prop-Lab shows a good window to VP6DIA on 40/80M during the
following times (assuming they are operating at this time):
0700 UTC - sunrise extreme Western Europe
to
0830 UTC - sunset Northern Japan
This is a small window since: (1) We are very close to the Spring Equinox,
(2) The gray-line is almost parallel to the lines of longtitude, and (3) Extreme
Western Europe is at 10 Deg W. Longtitude, and Japan is at about 155 Deg
E. Longtitude (only about 35 Deg apart on the polar path).
Prior to 0700 UTC, you will have some stiff competition from Europe,
and after 0830 UTC, you will have some stiff competition from Japan.
Another good time will be just before your local sunrise as signals from
the Eastern most end of the Terminator Line will tend to be strong. You
will have some competition, however, from Japan during this time.
