[DX] Unethical Behaviour

May be off topic but this is regarding something that happens in the DX =
Window.

I am sure many of you have heard the VE2 who operates around 14.202 =
every morning. For years he has been carrying on with his unethical =
operating procedures and violating just about every rule as regards =
causing INTENTIONAL and harmful interference. As I am one who prefers to =
ignore controversy, I have tried to ask his friends to have a gentle =
word with him. However, nothing has worked.

Thos morning 6Y5IC and myself were on 14.200, working a /MM station who =
had problems with his Marine antenna tuner and Icom. Bing a Mariner =
myself, I was trying to assist him. This Canadian station came right on =
the freq and started to hurl abuses at us. He then stated that the only =
way he will deal with the "likes" of us was by taking over the freq and =
that we left him no other choise! None of us could believe what happened =
next. Irrespective of the fact that there was a QSO going on on that =
freq, he started to call CQ on 14.200, where an ongoing QSO was on and =
proceed to work a Florida station. What beats me is that he announced =
with pride that he was teaching us a lesson! I run 75 watts to a wire =
vertical, 6Y5IC a faulty 940S (50w) into a dipole and the Maritime =
Mobile a 706! What can we little pistols do over a guy running a 5 =
element monobander and an Alpha amp?! What if the maritime Mobile was in =
some kind of distress? =20

I am left wondering if Canada does not have a monitoring system and an =
equivalent of the US FCC? How can this guy carry on like this daily and =
not be held accountable? He is a disgrace to ham radio and what we all =
like to safeguard as a gentleman's hobby. Isn't there anything anyone =
can do to stop people like this bullying innocent users of the band? =
Does Canada prefer to turn a blind eye? Aren't there Canadian hams =
listening to this nonsense day in day out? As far as I see it, this man =
taints the good image of Canadian hams -- many of who are my dear =
friends. Isn't there an authority people can complain to and request =
them to monitor this guy? OR are we completely at his mercy? =20

BTW, we got on freq long before he showed up but ended up being bullied =
by a guy who was very open about it. I may be viewed as someomne letting =
off steam, but am left wondering if this is what has become of ham radio =
today? I have heard of fights over a freq, but what happened this =
morning is something I have NEVER heard in my life and wish never to =
hear again.=20

Sorry for taking up BW over this issue. If anyone has any sugestions as =
reagrds whom to make an official complaint and a plea for assistnace =
against this menace, please mail me direct.=20
