Hello all:
I have been reading the discussion of DX nets with interest, as I have wanted to join one for some time now, but have been unable to find one to join. Part of the problem i know is that I teach school and consequently the days tend to run to 12-15 hours pretty commonly. But when I search the net on DX-NET all I get is worthless junk. I can see were some operators do not think that it is sporting etc for people to use DX nets, and if they dont like them, then they dont have to use them. I do a lot of my dx in contests, but I would also like to try the nets to mop up a few more. As I become a better operator, and aquire a better station (now its a ts520s into a 135 foot wire dipole at 30 feet, and I am saving for a yaesu ft 897) I will likely re-work the entire list without the help of the nets, but for now I would like to try.
If any of you would be willing to send me some info on the nets, I would be most appreciative. You might want to post it on this reflector, so that other lurkers can benifit from it as well.
thanks
