Hi Gary,
As others have already said, there have been significant geomagnetic
disturbances the last several days, and the prediction is for it to continue
for awhile..
Here's one of the best places I've found to track solar activity/band
conditions (I keep the page up all the time):
http://dx.qsl.net/propagation/ It brings a lot of stuff together in one page
in graphical format.
I'll tune around a bit today (I've been wanting to get on 12M this fall,
while it lasts), but it looks like it might be better to do some antenna
work I've been putting off...
