I am mostly a casual operator who likes to pursue some 'easy' DX. However,
I am thinking of getting into serious contesting in the future. I am
thinking of switching from my Excel based log to a more sophisticated one.
Can you provide your perspective of the pros and cons of Writelog for
Windows as it relates to mostly casual use with an occasional contest from
time-to-time.

Dan:

Writelog is the way to go. It can/does use mmtty for rtty. Its an
outstanding program for cw/ssb and rtty contesting. It does it all and runs
under windows 95/98/2000/NT ect.
