[DX] DXpedition "attitude" (was K1B: Last Update )

I'm wondering how anyone could read James' "press release" and come away
thinking he had an "attitude".

Most of these DXpedition teams risk their lives and go to great expense to
give the so called "deserving" a new one. This operation was no
exception...and these guys had the sense to follow the rules set down by
mother nature and their hosts.

I know several of the team members personally. They are good friends and
great ops. When someone I respect steps up and expects me to better my game
I consider it a welcome challenge..because I know we'll both gain from the
experience.

Presently I'm building a new station. I'm running 100 watts and a couple of
dipoles until the tower project is completed, hopefully by the end of
summer.

If a DXpedition shows up...and I don't have a favorable antenna in place...I
go out an hang another wire. I've worked most everything that's been on this
year. If I have to, I wait until the pileups die down and the DX is in the
"begging" mode. Then I work 'em. Doesn't take a "major" investment to hang a
wire, slip my headphones on and listen.

Those of you screaming...'er whining..."attitude" could probably gain 30db
to 40db..easily by checking your receive antenna...I think maybe you're on
the "dummy load"...if you get my drift.

CU in the pileups,
