Hello All

Well, IOTA contest weekend is behind us.  I apologize that I was unable =
to operate from Wood Island, CISA PE-007, Lighthouse CAN-535.  I had =
taken the government of PEI tourism webpage as being valid information =
without phoning confirmation that the campground at Wood Island was =
indeed still in operation. The park is still there but is no longer a =
campground, but a day use park only, closing at 8pm. We arrived on =
Friday evening, disembarking the ferry at 8pm, and a 5 minute drive to =
the park that was not. What to do now? Find another park, late on Friday =
evening. So darkness was setting in, we drove to the north side of the =
island, the resort side, lots of campgrounds, but most with no vacancy!  =
Finally we found a nice park, but of course no lighthouse nearby. I set =
up the tent, antenna, and station in the dark, finished approximately =
11:30pm.  We operated low power, single op, 12 hour. Propagation was =
terrible, we didn't set any records. Anyway on Sunday we drove out to =
Lennox Island and provided a few of you with PE 004. Hopefully next year =
the propagation will be better, and we will confirm all the info before =
we post. Again sorry for the incorrect posting.
