Denver,
I used to have one, and I added an analog speed control on the front. The
analog control eliminated the need to increase or decrease it with a keypad
command. (Do you have a manual?)
It was pretty simple, though I don't have the info now. It was in an OLD
National Contest Journal back when it was a smaller (length/width) size,
like from the late 1970s. I think the NCJ is available on CDROMs. Maybe
someone could email the article to you as a .pdf file.

Subject: [DX] Info
Hi Guys,
Sorry for asking this question on a dx info bull, but I need some
help and info. Hope you will excuse me for this mail. I have obtained a AEA
-Advance Electronic Appliance contest keyer, model CK-2. I have no
instruction leaflet or circuit details. The keyer works, but is there any
modification I could make, to the circuit that will enable me to alter the
speed setting. Increase or decrease the speed.
Any info will be most welcome.
Sorry for the bandwidth.
