Methinks there is some confusion between "equal opportunity" and "equal 
outcome".

DXCC is an "equal opportunity" endevour.  We all have the same 
opportunity to PARTICIPATE.  That does not mean we all have an equal 
chance at the same outcome.

The European soccer championships (UEFA) are held every four years.  
Every European country can participate...France, Italy, England...Faroe 
Islands, San Marino, Luxembourg.  They all show up at the same time and 
play on the same field, with equal opportunity.  I think you can 
probably guess how the outcomes shake out, even if you're not a soccer 
fan.  You could draw similar analogies with any sporting competition you 
care to.  Maybe that's why some refer to this as "radio sport"...

I have seriously (by my own definition) been in the game for 22 years.  
I am pretty confident that I will never make #1 HR...that's okay.  I 
have a small station and limited time, and I will run the race as best I 
can.
