The easy answer is to point you to www.canadapost.ca.

If you have time before you go to Canada, you can purchase strips
or booklets of stamps on-line with no GST/PST and no shipping cost.
I periodically purchase a booklet of six stamps for return (VE ->
US) cards and the net cost on my US based credit card ends up
being between $6.00 and $6.50.

You can also get booklets of 10 Canadian domestic stamps for $8.50
CDN (between $7.00 and $7.50 US) or strips of either 4 or 10 stamps
for $3.40/$8.50 CDN.

The US rate stamps have a face value of $1.20 CDN while the domestic
stamps are "Permanent" (Forever). Thus, I only purchase one booklet
of the US rate stamps at a time to avoid the need to deal with "make
up" postage each year.
