Hello
Monk Apollo is able to operate his station alone. It is real that anyone
to operate from Mount Athos needs a license from the Holy Council. It is
also real that after the visit of DL5EBE in 1998 (see arrl bulletin
http://www.arrl.org/w1aw-bulletins-archive/ARLD037/1998) who operated
with Monk Apollo's callsign, Holy council threat Monk Apollo that they
will get his license back if he allows anyone else to operate with his
call in the future. So Monk Apollo does not allow anyone to operate his
station any more. Beside all these Monk Apollo had some free time during
this day as they had rain in Mount Athos and his job was outside and
operated his station. I can confirm this as I talked with him late
afternoon. Unfortunately I could not copy him on 15m (we are too close -
hi hi- abt 600km far from him) and I didn't worked him...
