[Dx-qsl] The Future?

I have seen some heated debates about this subject.
My opinion is that for DXCC purposes this should be in a separate category. I personally cannot understand how someone could brag about working a DX when they are using a remote station that could be thousands of miles away from their QTH. There is no sport in that.
I personally won't even work DX from  my friends QTH. The offer has been made to me by several other hams as I don't have antennas for all the bands yet. I take pride in what I work from my QTH with the equipment and antennas I have. To do it otherwise would just degrade the entire process.

Subject: [Dx-qsl] The Future?

Came across a web page http://www.remotehamradio.com/inquire/ that is
promoting remote operations (e.g. the use of superstitions) through the
internet**for a price.** There are plans to suit one's needs:

The service is a membership based service, there are four pricing
plans to choose from which provides you access to the sites, support, an
Elecraft K3/0, and the remaining equipment to connect that K3/0 to their
service. The membership fee includes up to a 1500 minute credit for the
first month of operating and up to additional 600 minutes a month for
each of the remaining 11 months, any additional air time over the
allotted plan minutes will be billed by the minute on the station you
operate. These rates vary between $0.17/min and $0.50/min depending on
the site

One question that comes to mind from a DX view point is: "If someone
works a rare dx station using  a superstation remotely does it count for
DXCC?" Another is contesting and how that fits into the scheme of
things. _I believe, but not certain, that the DXAC may be looking into
the use of remote stations during their upgrade of the DXCC
Rules/Regulations this year. Perhaps some of these questions have
already been answered.  Comments._
