[Dx-qsl] New US Postal Rates ...

I just ordered 2 sheets. Be advised if you order from the USPS website below
there is a $1.25 service/shipping charge.
While on the USPS site I learned that the rates to Canada and Mexico have
increased also to $1.10, the same as all other Intl destinations. It used to
be .85 to Canada and Mexico and 1.05 to all other DX.

Remember, the new rates for International First Class goes into effect this
weekend.  For those needing postage, the US Postal Service begins Selling a
Global "Forever" stamp on Monday.  It can be pre-ordered now at

The Global ForeverR stamps are being issued in self-adhesive sheets of
20 at the $1.10 rate, or $22.00 per sheet.  USPS will begin processing
pre-orders on January 25.

I tried to pick up a sheet at my local Post Office and the Postmistress told
me it was not even on their order sheet yet - she could not get them so
on-line at www.usps.com may be the best route for now.  At least with a
"forever" stamp there is no need to be concerned about needing "make up"
postage if one does not use all the stamps before the next rate increase.
