There shouldn't be any problems with bccs.  I use them because Google (which my ISP uses to process all mail) will block forwarding a copy from any lists to the sender and the bcc sends a copy directly to myself).  This has worked for me with Mailman as well as other list servers (hopefully without any intervention).  I don't think the addressee's mail client even sees bccs.
