It's become an American tradition over the past few decades to bash  
every government service.  Perhaps some deserve it - but many  
definitely DON'T. If you lived a significant part of your life abroad,  
as I did, you would be thankful for the many fine services offered by  
the good ol'  US of A - ESPECIALLY by the USPO. I can't recall when I  
last had a screw up in my personal mail, and I consider their service  
outstanding.

Every time I go to the mailbox with a QSL to a German manager for  
example, with its 98c US airmail stamp, I realize that inside that  
envelope are 3 x $1 to cover the approximate $2.25 cost for our German  
friend to return exactly the same type of card to me.  What a bargain  
we have!
