I will not subject myself to the blackmail of these groups who demand
dollars BEFORE putting your QSOs onto LOTW.
In this instance I did not need 5V7 in any case, but i refuse to be
blackmailed and its time the amateur community
made known to these groups that this practuise must cease and will not
be tolerated.
It is my experience that over my past 4 expeditions, uploading QSOs to
LOTW during or immeditely after the expeditions makes NO DIFFERENCE
WHATSOEVER to the number of direct cards received. If there is a
difference it is so small as to be inconsequential.
Sponsors should make it clear to these groups that if they receive
sponsorship, then this practise must cease.
I no longer see any justifiction whatsoever to even delay an LOTW upload
for 6 months. The folk that want a paper card, still want a paper
card. Not everybody subscribes to LOTW.Regards
