[Dx-qsl] New Canada Post Rates

Wow, $4(CND) plus tax for an IRC !!!
This sure makes it tough on the VE's to QSL.
In round numbers it costs 2 times the US rate for a Can IRC.
I don't understand why such a disparity between the US and CAN.
Can First Class is aprox. 30% higher than US,
but 100% higher for an IRC just doesn't compute.
I just used LoTW to apply for DXCC. It cost me $0.15/QSL conformation.
No QSL cards, envelopes, or postage to pay for at my end.
I also just spent $17.41 (US) on 9/30/09 for 8 paper 6M QSL confirmations.
That's $2.17/QSL. That's aprox., 15 times the LoTW costs of $1.20.
What's worst, I've only received 5 of the 8 as of today.
The bottom line is that QSL'ing is costing us more and more each year.
And that is just going to keep increasing .
LoTW is the most cost effective method for me, YMMV.
