[Dx-qsl] German postal prices

German postal prices were always high.  Growing up, I had relatives in 
Nurnberg and the prices of the stamps on letters and packages they would 
send even going back to the 1970's was always high.  I was amazed when 
my parents told me what the pfennig amount translated too.  The funny 
thing is that the few relatives left in Germany now use the phone or the 
internet so they do not use the Bundespost any more contact with us.
