I couldn't help but notice from the Midway KH4 Web Site:


    *LOTW*

    *All pre-operation donors will see their QSOs uploaded to LOTW at
    the completion of our DXpedition.*

    *Each month we will also upload LOTW QSOs reflecting QSLs answered
    by our manager. (What does this mean?)
    *

    *Does this mean that unless you sponsor the expedition you are
    unlikely to see your card for some time?

    *Do they only upload to LOTW QSOs that _have already been confirmed
    by paper card?_
    *

    *Sounds a bit like blackmail to me.   However, this seems to be the
    way that several large expeditions now want to handle things.   I
    contributed $50 to K5D - what have I got so far some months AFTER
    the expedition - NIL, NADA, ZILTCH, NOTHING.   NO card and NO
    lotw.   What level of confidence does this give me for KH4 - not a lot.

    *I have already contributed to KH4 through membership of CDXC, GMDX,
    RSGB and EUDXF (all of which I subscribe to)  who together have
    contributed some $2,250 (according to the sponsor's page).   Do I
    need to contribute MORE to ensure I dont have to weait till doomsday
    to get a card?

    *This is grossly unfair and needs to be addressed by future
    expeditions AND future contributing Clubs AND organisations....
