I don't think so. 
I contributed to Midway via Paypal on 10/19 and my q's were on LOTW Friday.
Fast turnout. Actually, any time I have donated via paypal to any dxpedition
(that's after, not before) I got my LOTW within days of sending out the $$$.

No Alex, I haven't got anything in LoTW.

I think those LoTW confirmations are for members of Associations and 
Radioclubs that have made a donation.
