In a lot of countries with high humidity, Japan included, envelopes with  
glued flaps tend to stick and seal themselves.

Never was any glue on the flap.  I've ended up having to go  find some 
cellophane tape just to make sure the flap stays closed.  Don't  know why foilks send 
out envelopes with no way to seal  them.
