[Dx-qsl] Rec'd via LOTW...question

My experience has been that it depends on the operator/manager. In some cases, as soon as the manager received/opened/recorded my QSL, they put my LOTW credit out there with the QSL card coming out when they arrive from the printer. Others, put their whole log out to LOTW immediately, answering any cards with cards as they are received. Yet others put out the cards first, with the LOTW posted 6 months to a year later, hoping to wring every last donation out of the operation (this is more common where the costs of the operation are considerable and every donation dollar counts to offset the expenses incurred).
I don't think you'll see QSL cards disappearing anytime soon and I've yet to hear of any manager saying "QSL only via LOTW".
