I think that's who it is, Bill, but I also can't find anything
concrete. I worked him on 30M the other day, and he was spotted on
17M this AM, but not audible here. He's been active a bit too much
to be a pirate, I think, but who knows? I found the reference that
linked him to JA9BV was on the Internet, but the entry was 2005.
"14/03/2005: Operators JA9BV and JA3DYU will be vacationing in Vietnam
during middle March. Look for them to be active as XV3BV and XV3DYU from
the ancient town of Hoi An, March 14-17th. Activity will be on mostly
SSB and CW. Suggested frequencies are: CW - 3515, 7014, 14040, 21040
kHz; SSB - 3540, 7040, 14160, 21160 KHz. QSL via the bureau or direct to
their home calls. [Tnx OPDX]"

I can't find a reference that says they are there now, and JA9BV
