It seems a great shame that any DXpedition logs are consigned to the
trash without some copy made - after all a lot of early DXpeditions
were groundbreaking and historical either in being 'Firsts' from the
DXCC in question or for some other reason such as being a first
activation on a particular band.

Surely there are retired secretaries or others out there with the time
and the necessary copying skills to put this data on computer and
(preferably) uploading to LoTW as a second permanent (and historical)
record.

I have recently uploaded all my logs from 1976-1979 and am amazed how
many match with LoTW!
(OK, there aren't the numbers involved that are made with a DXpedition
but I find it fairly easy to put 250 log entries on the PC every hour -
wish I could do contests running the same rate!).
