Subject: [Dx-qsl] XU7ABN QSL Problems
Does anyone know how to contact Claude XU7ABN except by mail? I had seen several reports of problems getting his QSL and after finally snagging him on RTTY decided to bite the bullet and use international registered, return-receipt requested mail. Off to the post office I went and about $14 later my QSL was on the way.....that was 22 September.
In late October as I hadn't gotten the return card I went to the Post Office and their system query showed it arriving in San Francisco on
29 September and nothing beyond that. I then called the USPS 800 number and the rep took my info and said they would make an official
inquiry with the Cambodian government as to the status of my mail.
Cambodia then has 60 days in which to reply and then the USPS would inform me in writing of their response.
Hmmmm, I seem to be in the same boat if I had just mailed it off for
94 cents and hoping for the best. Well, maybe I'll get a nice
surprise for Xmas. ;-)
Any XU stations out there listening wanna make a RTTY sked?

Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got...till it's gone.
