Hello Yutaka,
I will be arriving in Tokyo on July 30 staying at the New Sanno Hotel
(http://www.thenewsanno.com/). I am hoping to visit JARL Headquarters
and maybe meet some local hams. I had thought about purchasing a new
Icom-756 Pro III while I was there but was told I would not be able to
find the U.S.A. export model on the local market so my purchase was not
recommended.
I have not been to Tokyo since the late 1970's. During the 1970's I was
the radio operator/navigator on the U.S. Coast Guard C-130 Hercules
aircraft that flew supplies to Iwo Jima, Marcus, Palau, Yap, Ulithi, and
many other Pacific Islands where the U.S. Coast Guard operated the LORAN
C Stations. I am fully retired now so looking forward to a non working
trip.
Nice web site. I like your log cabin at Mt Fuji.
73, Alan, K7ACZ
