Yes, Japan has to be commended for holding the cost on their
airmail.
The opposite is the case in Canada where every year, every
January we see both a domestic and airmail cost increase.

The SAE for me from EI6HB on February 2007
from Ireland had a EUR0.65 stamp.

In Japan the postage hasn't been changed at least since
2002;
from Japan to US/Canada/EU it's JPY110 (<=25g) or approx.
USD0.91.
