The recent thread about peel and eat, lick n stick, whatever envelopes
caused me to wonder about the actual need for the oversize envelopes. A quick
check of the 130 qsls I have ready to turn in for my annual DXCC endorsement
includes 1 (ONE!) oversize qsl and that is from a 2000 qso. Is it my
imagination or does it seem that very few qsls, especially from managers, come in the
giant size? And is it really necessary to send an AIRMAIL return envelope? I
am a creature of habit as much as anyone and have been using the nested
overseas envelope sets for a hundred years, but maybe it's time to switch over to
just plain old white envelopes that have peel and stick.
Just thought I'd ask for a little input from the group. Especially
interested in QSL managers take on this.
To cut down on bandwidth here on the reflector, reply to me direct and I
will post results in about a week.
