[Dx-qsl] 5A7A Info and Help

When I read the original question I was rather incredulous at the
question. While I have been DXing for many years, it would seem rather
difficult to expect a dxpedition to turn cards around that fast. Even
individuals often take longer than that length of time. While Peter might
not have been as tactful as he could have been, I do think that any number
of the people on the reflector could have made a similar comment. There
are some great booklets and papers around on QSLing. Maybe Dave will
choose to leave this august group. I hope that he will seek out one or
more of these booklets and learn how the QSL card game really works. Some
cards I have received in the last 3-4 yrs. have taken 10-15 yrs to get
here. Buro cards hardly ever arrive in less than a year. Even the truly
great managers (KU9C, W3HNK, EA7FTR to mention a few) take several months
on the more active hams they manage. VE3XN was amazing on the recent ZL8R
in the turnaround time.
But I would say in my opinion, Dave's skin might be a bit thin. We all
need to learn and perhaps Dave's lesson was a bit tougher than the 5A7A
pileups were to get thru. Just one man's opinion, not that it is worth any
more than any one else's.
Regards Ed KE3D

RE: [Dx-qsl] 5A7A Info and Help
Dear group. My apologies to the group for asking this simple question. I
may not be the most experienced dx'er and I may not be the smartest when
it comes to dx operations, but I thought that was the purpose of this
reflector, to learn from others and ask questions. Mr. Penta seems to
feel differently, so to him and the rest of you whom I may have insulted
by my question, I apologize.
Please unsubscribe me from the reflector.
