[Dx-qsl] SSL added to MyQsl Service

I'll give you credit for chutzpah, sir, but that's all.
Threatening to take the ARRL to court for restraint of trade for not giving
you recognition? When you haven't yet asked them (as you have told me
yourself in private emails)?
Now I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on Television. I do know a good
one, and I plan to ask him for his opinion of your little venture. But be
so as it may:
Exactly how do you suppose that the ARRL is allegedly performing "restraint
of trade" against a service you just started, that has no takers to date,
and that you haven't even talked to yet to see IF they would accept your
digital images in lieu of physical cards?
For all we know, you may have a way to do it that they'd be willing to
accept. But how will anyone know if you haven't talked to them yet?
Or do you believe, as it appears, that you're going to get your way merely
by threatening them? And indirectly yet?
It's enough to make one wonder about your business practices... but since
you've already thrown the word "libel" at me privately a few times, I'll
keep my opinions on THAT to myself and let others draw their own
conclusions.
Sheesh.

Thank you for your words of reason.
I am still waiting for at least 7 years for cards (of my own) from 20
countries. I have sent out cards and green stamps more than once, to
these hams. I think 7 years is long enough to wait. So i thought of a
better system to exchange qsl cards. It is still being developed and
modified to increase user confidence.
I am considering all the comments i receive and have just added SSL
security to the system. I have added a checkbox for the registering
users to check that they are the lawful owner of the callsign they are
using. I am also considering having them submit a signed copy of their
license for me to keep on file with their other info. I may even look at
digitally signing each card uploaded and downloaded via the system.
There is a long established principle in this country that there should
be no monopolies or restraint of trade. Once my system is as secure and
bullet proof as I can make it I will make the ARRL aware of my service
and the need to open their doors (or close them to all systems of
electronic submission [LOTW]). Hopefully with enough research and
support from hams worldwide the ARRL will accept what they must do or I
would need to persue my rights on another path.
