I've asked this directly of a few QSL Managers for specific situations, but let me also ask this as a general question to the group:

We all know that many of the big and even not so big DXpeditions can take 3 to 6 months or even longer to design, print, process and mail QSL cards.  (This is not a criticism of the time involved, just facing the reality that that's the way it is sometimes).

So, you work the DXpedition, send your cards & envelope (& GS/IRC when neccesary) to the QSL Manager and begin your patient wait.

But life goes on, and in that 3 - 6 or more month time frame, you move.  Sometimes a lease expires; sometimes you finally find the QTH you've dreamed of, made the offer, sweated out the financing, and finally closed -- all within that aforementioned time period.

Now what?

Yes, you file the appropriate change of address form(s) with the USPS or your local equivalent.  But mail forwarding can be, well, chancy -- did you know not all mail is forwarded, even with a forwarding order?  But that's going off on another tangent, so let me get right to the point:

What, if anything, do you say to the QSL Manager(s)?  Do you wait and hope that your card gets forwarded?  Or do you send another card with an explanation, showing your new address?  And just as important, what's the easiest way for the QSL manager to handle this without sacrificing another piece of what little sanity they may have left?
