Regarding to JAPAN, let me add one thing for the note No.8.

8. air mail postage from Japan is 110 Yen. At todays exchange rate $1 US is 
not quite enough.

Actually, we have three types of fee for Air Mail as follows.

         From JAPAN to Area I  (Asia and Guam Is./Saipan) : 90 Yen
         (US $1 may be enough.)

         From JAPAN to Area II (Oceania, EMEA, North America, and Middle 
America) : 110 Yen
         (US $1 may be enough, but sometimes not be enough.)

         From JAPAN to Area III (Africa and South America) : 130 Yen
         (US $1 is not enough.)

P.S. Many JA hams are using a little bigger size of QSL card, and they have 
to fold it for the
US standard envelope.
