A friend at work just handed me a small stack of envelopes containing QSL cards, that she’d recovered a few years ago from her step-father’s estate.  That gentleman had, in turn, somehow acquired these from a now SK SWL, presumably for the stamps.

All of these envelopes appear to be circa 1936-38, and while the majority of cards are for SW broadcasters, there are quite a few amateur radio calls.  

No, I don’t know what I’m going to do with these yet.  And yes, that museum in Austria is first on the list!

Just for chuckles, following is a list of some of the calls, and who they are or were assigned to; some of these are probably still in use today, though not necessarily the same person or organization.  And yes, while these are considered amateur calls today, well, things were a little different back then!
