Saw a recent post and had to comment on old cards. I have been chasing down
all of my old cards and where the ham is still active, had good success.
So don't give up. Try the email to see if the logs exists and who has
them. In the past year I have tracked down and received QSLs from 1979
thru 1983. Some of these were more ordinary, while others were more rare
(Campbell Isl and Juan Fernandez). So ask here, email managers, and track
down the guys who went on the dxepedition. It doesn't have to cost an arm
and a leg either. Just what a noraml direct cards might cost in return and
direct postage.

To those who chase the ones you forgot to get (in the normal time frame) I
say bully for you. Go for it and at least 1/3 of the time you can have
success. This is not as good as a timely request. Most of those average
70-80% return. There are a few stinkers out there sucking up GS. But most
of the gang is very helpful.
