[Dx-qsl] Does card style matter ?

Personally, I use plain one color on white vellum card from W4MPY. All
information on one side - easy to read (do you hear the managers cheering?).
Adaptable to computer label if I wish. Unless the card is attached to $2 bill,
most stations overseas couldn't care less what ANOTHER American card looks
like. As long as it is readable and counts for WAS, USA-CA, IOTA or something.
And the stations that don't reply aren't replying to the boys with the
photo cards either.
My all time new DXCC-mixed are up on the wall. All others in boxes. So
most cards I receive nowadays could be printed on the back of used fish cartons
as long as the data is correct (uh oh - can't wait to see the qsls i get
now!). For the longest time, the only qsl I had from 9Q5 was typewritten on
plain paper that i mounted on a piece of cardboard for preservation sakes, but it
counted. As did all the mimeographed (ask your grandfather what that means)
ones from the USSR. I would prefer that the common euros would stop using
the pretty 4 sided, 256 color photocards and go back to the cheap, flimsy
ones, especially if they are sent via the buro. The W2 buro basically charges by
the weight, so I could get 4 cheap qsls from them for what it costs me for
one of the super-duper cards.
But that's just me. If I have a friend overseas, I would rather receive a
note and picture from them than a fancy qsl.
