I received a couple of questions and a organizer request that I elaborate
(on here) my post about K7C. So don't get mad at me for elaborating because
I'm in the middle.
1. I sent the card with an SASE.
2. The QSL manager received the card.
3. When I saw that several >>New Englanders<< had cards, but mine had not
arrived despite the fact I sent it earlier than recipients, I asked if mine
had been sent.
4. I waited some more as asked; it did not show
5. The manager sent a replacement directly because he cares and had my card
and seen my SASE
Anticipating this possible question next, no one knows me on this trip, so
no one did me any friendly favors. The manager sent a replacement because he
does his volunteer post the generous way.
I already have had a battle with the USPS. If you've ever been to Cape Cod,
what the rest of us do off Cape makes the people here... nervous. Towers
above 35 feet make them file suit. People have asked me what my mobile
antenna is aftering donning tin foil hats and skulking toward my car crooked
like, apparently to insure maximum distance (the latter is true).
But seriously, the staff thanked me for sending so much mail because it
helped keep the PO off the chopping block (their words) then became...
strange...nosey... when I kept sending mail. Make up your mind.
Others who have talked to me off group know this saga. They have shared
similar, or identical stories as recent, direct, and / or quantity QSLers.
These days you have to be careful what you say between politics, internet
politics, ham radio politics and who doesn't back up who when something
happens, yet reaps the benefits.
Since I have a degree in Political Science, my judgement tells me to stop
there. I hope that's satisfactory, because I don't want to keep bothering
people who don't care.
