Bravo from me to Montenegro for their independence
and a new country added to the list.  To the list???


What about all those local hams in Montenegro who could be rare
DX and get on the bands and have some fun working the world?
Take the proposed dxpedition that supposedly guarantees 200K
QSO and what is left for the poor local operator.  All of a sudden
Montenegro is not a rare entity.  Hohum, back to the world news
at 11pm.

So if I were a local in Montenegro I would object strongly to any
dxpedition to my country.  I would petition my ministry to reject
any application for a station license and forgo the potential of putting
Montenegro on the map with those rubber stamped QSOs with a
handful of thanks for nothing.

That is a very narrow -minded view. We shoukd encourage anything that will bring activity on the bands
and perhaps more new hams in Montenegro.

Novelty wears off fast, so why envy those few the fun of being a new one for everybody for a few days ?
