[Dx-qsl] Bad spots on DX Cluster Spotting

Has anyone else noticed that there has been an increased number of
bogus spots on the DX Cluster as of late? What I mean about bogus
spots are those spots -- like one yesterday for YJ spotting DX on
140000 but really announcing a 6.7 earthquake near Vanuatu.
It appears to me that more and more DX stations cannot be satisfied
with the use of the announce command but post their announcements as
DX spots. With the increase of this type of bogus postings the
effectiveness of the Cluster for alerting will diminish.
With the notification abilities of VE7CC software, DX4WIN and other
tracking packages these bogus spots further serve to set off the
alarm of a DX station that really is not there. Actually, all it
accomplishes is to alert everyone that another DX Cluster user does
NOT understand the intent and appropriate commands of DX Cluster capabilities.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
