As far as I can remember there were 3 LA hams in that expedition.

Quite recently (maybe month ago) I received cards after 
7 years of waiting.

Hello guys,

on 18.12.1998 worked with this station on 40M and sent QSL direct to
LA1EE, but nothing in reply. Also sent few e-mail to him and also
nothing in reply. I need advice what is better way to get this QSL if it
possible after 7 years.
